Senior Software Developer print solution software flexible working Cambridge
Senior Software Developer required to be a contributor to definition, analysis, architecture, modelling, design, development and testing of RIP Software.
Responsibilities will also include: contributing to direction through group design discussions; contributing to software development process definition and improvements; and technical leadership and mentoring in a number of software development techniques and skills.
Essential skills and experience include:
· B.Sc. degree in computer science or equivalent
· Around 7 years C*C++ development on one of Windows NT, Macintosh, or UNIX*Linux platforms
· Knowledge of Pre-press or Electronic publishing systems
· Knowledge and experience of page description languages, such as PostScript and PDF
· Knowledge and experience of modern software development processes and practices
· A good team player with strong analytical, problem solving abilities and excellent communication skills
Also desirable are:
· Knowledge*experience of computer graphics or image processing
· Knowledge*experience of color management
· 10+ years of post graduate experience in Software Development
· Knowledge*experience of software development project management and software quality assurance
· Team leading and technical mentoring experience
This role will be based near Cambridge, salary negotiable dependent on experience.
It may be possible to arrange flexible working hours.
